Choosing the Right Materials

When selecting materials for sealing cabin gaps, consider the type of pest you’re trying to keep out. For rodents, steel wool is an excellent choice. It’s inexpensive, easy to install, and rodents can’t chew through it. Cut the steel wool into 1-inch wide strips and stuff them into gaps around pipes, electrical outlets, and other openings. For larger gaps, use expanding foam. This type of foam expands to fill gaps and hardens quickly, providing a solid seal. Use it to seal gaps around doors, windows, and vents.

Installing Hardware Cloth
