Measuring and Preparing the Rifle

To install a carbon fiber stock, start by removing the existing stock and taking precise measurements of the rifle’s action and receiver. Use a caliper to measure the width and length of the receiver, and note any existing marks or reference points that will aid in the installation process.

Applying Bedding Material

Next, apply a bedding material, such as an epoxy or polyurethane-based system, to the receiver. This material will help to stabilize the stock and prevent movement or shifting during firing. Apply the bedding material in a thin, even layer, and use a precision applicator or a credit card to smooth out any air pockets or excess material.
