Late Afternoon Bugling

The late afternoon to early evening hours are another prime time for locating bugling bulls. This period typically begins around 4-5 pm and can last until well after dark. During this time, the warm air and setting sun create an ideal environment for bugling, with the bulls often vocalizing more frequently as they begin to establish their dominance and attract potential mates. To maximize your chances of success, consider setting up in areas with good bugling visibility, such as ridges, hills, or other vantage points that allow you to see and hear the surrounding terrain.
