How to Maintain Low Profile While Crawling?

Crawling Position

When crawling, get into a low, stable position with your weight evenly distributed between your hands and feet. Place your hands shoulder-width apart, with your fingers curled under and your elbows slightly bent. Position your feet with your knees bent and your weight on the balls of your feet.

Camouflage and Concealment

Use camouflage to blend in with your surroundings, and employ concealment techniques to remain hidden from view. This can include using natural cover such as bushes or rocks, and dressing in clothing that matches the colors of your environment. For example, if you’re hunting turkeys in a forest with golden leaves, wear golden or earth-toned clothing to minimize your visibility.

Movement and Speed

When crawling, move slowly and deliberately, taking your time to avoid making sudden movements or noises that might spook your prey. Aim to move at a pace of about 1-2 feet per second, and take regular pauses to listen and observe your surroundings. Remember, the key to successful hunting is patience and stealth, so take your time and stay quiet.
