How to set reminders in onX Maps for specific hunting dates?

Setting Event Reminders

To set a reminder for a specific hunting date, start by navigating to the ‘Map Layers’ section within onX Maps. This will allow you to access various layers and tools that can help you plan and organize your hunting trip. Once in the ‘Map Layers’ section, click on the ‘Waypoints’ tab and select the ‘Create a New Waypoint’ option. This will prompt a new window where you can input the details for the waypoint, including the location, name, and description.

Setting Reminder Dates

In the ‘Create a New Waypoint’ window, choose ‘Event’ as the waypoint type. This will allow you to set a reminder date for the specific hunting date. Click on the calendar icon next to the ‘Date’ field to select the date you want to set the reminder for. You can also set a reminder time by selecting the time from the dropdown menu. For example, you can set a reminder to arrive at the hunting location at 5:00 AM on the day of the hunt.

Organizing Event Reminders

Once you have set the reminder date for a waypoint, you can organize and view all of your event reminders by navigating to the ‘Event Reminders’ tab in the ‘Map Layers’ section. This will display a list of all the event reminders you have set, along with the name of the waypoint and the date and time of the reminder. You can also filter the list by selecting specific dates or times to view only the reminders that are relevant to your hunt.
