Hunting Osceola Turkeys in Florida

To hunt Osceola turkeys, hunters must obtain a special permit, which requires completion of a turkey hunting course and passing a written exam. Hunters can use a variety of techniques, including calling, scouting, and stalking, to locate and harvest Osceola turkeys. Hunting Hours and Methods

Hunters can hunt Osceola turkeys in Florida from 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset, Monday through Saturday. During the week, hunters must adhere to the “one-bird-per-day” rule, which means they can only harvest one Osceola turkey per day. On Sundays, hunting is prohibited. Hunters can use a variety of gear, including shotguns with slugs, buckshot, or birdshot, as well as archery equipment and muzzleloaders.
